Locanda

Accessibility

Locanda should work for everyone: with a keyboard, with a screen reader, zoomed in or on a small phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in English and in Italian.

Where we stand

As far as we know, Locanda meets WCAG 2.2 level AA: the checks below found no failures.

This statement was last reviewed on October 26, 2026.

What we do

  • Pages are built from standard HTML elements, with headings in order and a link to skip to the content.
  • Everything works with the keyboard alone, and a visible ring shows where the focus is.
  • Text and controls meet the contrast minimums in the light and dark themes, and colour is never the only signal.
  • Pages fit a 320-pixel-wide screen, 200% zoom and 200% text size without scrolling sideways.
  • Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Animations stop within 5 seconds and do not play when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Downloaded PDFs are tagged for screen readers (PDF/UA-1).

How we test

  • Automated checks (axe) on every page, in both languages and both themes: last done on October 26, 2026.
  • Every page with the keyboard alone: last done on October 26, 2026.
  • Every page at 320 pixels wide, 200% zoom and 200% text size: last done on October 26, 2026.
  • NVDA with Firefox on Windows: last done on October 26, 2026.
  • VoiceOver with Safari on iOS: last done on October 26, 2026.

Locanda supports the last two versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on computers and phones.
